1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your data when you use the Nouri mobile application. By using Nouri, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We only collect information that helps us make Nouri work better for you:

Note: We do not store your uploaded photos or food content. Images are used temporarily for AI processing and then discarded.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• Tailor recipe recommendations to your diet and preferences
• Let you save and sync your recipes across devices
• Analyze how features are used to improve the app experience
• Validate Pro membership and apply feature restrictions

We do not sell or rent your data. All data is used strictly within Nouri and our trusted third-party providers for functional purposes only.

4. HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR DATA

Your account and onboarding data are stored securely in Supabase, our backend database provider. Subscription-related data is managed through RevenueCat, which handles App Store receipt validation.

• All data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption
• OAuth 2.0 (via Google & Apple) for secure login with no password storage
• Encrypted data storage via Supabase
• TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit

We do not store your photos. Any images processed for recipes are temporarily used for AI generation and then discarded.

5. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

We don't sell your data — ever. However, to make Nouri work smoothly, we rely on trusted services:

• Supabase: Stores your account info, saved recipes, dietary preferences, and onboarding data
• RevenueCat: Manages your subscription status and verifies App Store receipts
• Google / Apple OAuth: Used solely for login. We don't access your passwords — only your email and name are retrieved

We do not use advertising SDKs, behavioral profiling, or sell your data to marketers.

6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access the data we store about you
• Request corrections or updates
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time

You can update dietary preferences, allergens, and saved items from within the app. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at artus@lunarsolutions.ch from the email used with your account.

7. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

We only keep your data as long as it's needed to run Nouri. Your data (such as saved recipes, diet preferences, etc.) is retained as long as your Nouri account exists.

If your account remains inactive for over 24 months, we may delete it after sending a warning email.

To delete your data, email artus@lunarsolutions.ch from the address linked to your account. We'll confirm deletion within 7 working days. Data deletion is irreversible.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Nouri is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone in this age group. If we become aware that we've unintentionally collected data from a child under 13, we will immediately delete that information.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your data may be transferred to and processed by services outside of your country — including the United States and the European Union — as part of Supabase, RevenueCat, and AI service providers (OpenAI and Gemini APIs).

These providers are carefully selected and offer safeguards such as GDPR compliance, SOC 2 certifications, and data processing agreements to help keep your information secure.
